Linde AG announced plans to construct a 2 4-megawatt electrolyzer, which will produce green hydrogen. The plant will supply Linde's industrial customers through the company's existing pipeline network.
The planned electrolyzer will supply renewable hydrogen to end-user industries in European markets.
According to the company, the planned plant will be the world's largest PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) electrolyzer.
The plant is scheduled for commencement of operations in H2- 2022. The terminal will use high-efficiency PEM technology.
It will be constructed by ITM Linde Electrolysis GmbH, a joint venture between Linde and ITM Power, and will be located in Leuna Chemical Complex in Germany.
