Key Projects:
Gorgon project - The Gorgon Project is one of the world’s largest natural gas projects. With total daily production averaging 2.3 billion cubic feet of natural gas and 6,000 barrels of condensate in 2019, the Gorgon Project will continue to be an important pillar of the Australian economy for decades to come. Unlocking this energy puts Australia in a prime position to meet future demand and provide a clean-burning fuel, both at home and overseas.
Based on Barrow Island, the Gorgon Project includes a liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility with three processing units designed to produce 15.6 million metric tons of LNG per year. This includes a domestic natural gas plant.
The company makes strategic partnerships with other companies and governments as a part of its growth strategy. Chevron's partnership with Indonesia creates local, high-quality jobs that raise income levels and generate government revenues. The partnership spans more than 90 years and over that time has generated close to $200 billion in government revenue for Indonesia.
The company was founded in the year 1879 and is headquartered in California, United States.
