In February 2021, Air Water has integrated the Group's Chemical Business Units to make Performance Chemicals a mainstay of its growth toward the Smart Society by establishing a new company in charge of Chemical Business and integrating consolidated subsidiaries to the new company.
In November 2020, The Air Water Group started promoting “New Functional Materials Development Project” aimed at creating new value through close collaboration with a “realignment and integration” strategy for pooling technologies, products and ideas from both inside and outside of the Group. Under this project, the Air Water Group positioned electronics, the environment and renewable energy as strategic markets and understood that success in the electronics market will hinge on developing and supplying electronic materials for 5th-generation mobile communications systems (5G).
In June 2019, Air Water, Inc. acquired Praxair India’s manufacturing and sales operations of oxygen, nitrogen and argon in eastern India.
In December 2019, the company launched a joint venture for LP Gas business with Pacific Petro Commercial Joint Stock Company in Vietnam.
